NEAR patches ‘Web3 Ping of Death’ vulnerability that could crash network
NEAR protocol patched a critical vulnerability that could have crashed its entire network. The flaw, dubbed a "Web3 Ping of Death," was discovered by Zellic and could have allowed attackers to disrupt validator node communication. The vulnerability was silently patched in January, but similar flaws may exist in other networks.
